The Kuala Gandah Elephant Sanctuary is Malaysia’s most well-known elephant conservation center. Located about 2 hours from Kuala Lumpur, it serves as a refuge for endangered Asian elephants, especially those displaced due to habitat loss.

Managed by the Department of Wildlife and National Parks (PERHILITAN), the sanctuary focuses on rescue, rehabilitation, education, and awareness.
